This Privacy Policy explains how EQ Ninjas, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when adults use our parent-facing website, obtain a free guide, purchase a subscription, or use the EQ Ninjas app and related services (collectively, the "Services").
1) Information We Collect
1.1 Parent-facing website and marketing information
When an adult visits our public website, we and our service providers may collect information such as:
- Pages viewed, links clicked, referring page, and the date and time of a visit
- Browser, device, approximate location derived from an IP address, and similar technical information
- Advertising and campaign identifiers, cookie identifiers, and whether a visit, free-guide signup, or purchase followed an advertisement
- Name, email address, and communication preferences when you request a guide, contact us, or create an adult account
- Subscription and transaction status; payment-card details are handled by our payment provider rather than stored by us in full
We use first-party operational measurement to understand how visitors reach our website and complete requested actions. We also use the Meta Pixel on parent-facing pages. Meta receives browser and device information, the page URL, cookie or advertising identifiers, and events such as PageView, Lead, and Purchase. We disable Meta's automatic form-field matching and do not intentionally send a free-guide subscriber's name or email address to Meta through the Pixel. When advertising measurement is allowed and a parent completes a paid subscription, we may also send Meta a matching server-side Purchase event with the parent's normalized, cryptographically hashed email, advertising cookie identifiers, purchase value, and currency. We do not send child profile information with that event. Meta processes information it receives according to its Privacy Policy.
We use the OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel on parent-facing pages to understand whether a ChatGPT ad led to a free-guide request or family-plan subscription. OpenAI may receive browser and device information, the page URL, advertising or cookie identifiers, and the explicit events lead_created and subscription_created. We do not manually pass names, email addresses, payment-card information, or child profile information to OpenAI with these events. OpenAI's automatic advanced matching may detect supported adult contact information on recognizable forms, normalize it, and hash it in the browser before it is sent. We do not load this Pixel on the child-profile entry or family-confirmation pages, and we mark conversion events as opted out of future user-level personalization. OpenAI processes information it receives according to its Privacy Policy.
1.2 App learning and usage information
We collect limited information needed to operate and improve the EQ Ninjas app, including lesson and activity progress, completion status, retries, app version, device type, diagnostics, and performance information. We design this information to be de-identified and/or aggregated where feasible.
1.3 Parent-provided child information
A parent or legal guardian may provide limited information needed to create and manage a child profile and may optionally provide age range, grade band, or other demographic information. Optional demographic information is used in aggregated or de-identified form for product improvement and educational evaluation.
2) How We Use Information
- Provide guides, subscriptions, app features, and customer support
- Maintain security, prevent fraud, and diagnose technical problems
- Measure website traffic, campaign performance, free-guide signups, and purchases
- Create or improve advertising audiences and show relevant EQ Ninjas advertising to interested adults
- Improve the website, app, learning experiences, accessibility, and educational outcomes
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
3) How We Disclose Information
We disclose information as needed to operate the Services, including to:
- Meta for website advertising measurement, attribution, audience creation, and adult-directed advertising, unless you opt out
- OpenAI for ChatGPT advertising measurement and attribution, unless you opt out
- Kit to deliver requested guides and parent communications
- Payment, hosting, analytics, security, and support providers that perform services for us
- Authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, or rights-protection purposes
- A successor organization as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law
We do not sell personal information for money. Some state privacy laws may define the use of advertising cookies or disclosure of website identifiers to Meta or OpenAI as a "sale," "sharing," or processing for targeted advertising. You may opt out of that activity as described below.
4) Your Privacy Choices
- Opt out of advertising measurement and optional website analytics: select Privacy choices in the website footer and choose Opt out. The choice applies to that browser and stops future optional tracking from EQ Ninjas, Meta, and OpenAI.
- Global Privacy Control: when your browser sends a supported Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out for that browser.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. Transactional or service messages may still be sent when necessary.
- Access, correction, or deletion: contact us using the information below. Instructions for requesting permanent account deletion are also available on our Account Deletion page.
An opt-out stops future optional tracking in that browser; it does not recall information already received by Meta or another provider. It also does not disable strictly necessary website functions, security processing, or first-party operational records used to deliver a request and understand whether our own website worked. Clearing cookies may remove your stored choice, but an active Global Privacy Control signal will continue to be honored.
5) Children's Privacy
The EQ Ninjas public marketing website is directed to parents and other adults. The app includes experiences designed for children and is managed through a parent or legal guardian.
- We do not use children's app activity or child profile information for advertising or audience creation.
- We do not place the Meta Pixel or OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel inside authenticated child experiences.
- We do not sell children's personal information.
- We limit child information to what is reasonably necessary to provide and improve the app.
A parent or guardian may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's information by contacting us.
6) Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the Services, maintaining business and security records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the reason it was collected.
7) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No system is completely secure.
8) State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and whether applicable legal thresholds are met, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or certain profiling. You may exercise an advertising opt-out through Privacy choices and may contact us for other requests. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above and provide additional notice of material changes when required by law.
